It would depend on what they are using it for. 11a is typically used for wireless backhaul with clear line of sight where G is used for multiple client access. If you were to use 11a indoors for client use someone may say it 'sucks'. 11a operates in 5.8 where 11g operates in 2.4. For indoor use, physics makes 2.4 (or 11g) a better choice.
