Re-certification

CWTS

CWTS is a lifetime certification. Because CWTS is an entry-level certification, no re-certification is required.

CWNA

The CWNA certification is valid for three years.  To recertify, pass the current CWNA exam, or pass the current CWSP, CWAP, or CWDP exam to earn the CWSP, CWAP, or CWDP certification.

CWSP

The CWSP certification is valid for three years.  To recertify, pass the current CWSP exam, or earn the CWNE certification.

CWAP

The CWAP certification is valid for three years. To recertify, pass the current CWAP exam, or earn the CWNE certification.

CWDP

The CWDP certification is valid for three years. To recertify, pass the current CWDP exam, or earn the CWNE certification.

CWNE

The CWNE certification is valid for three years. To recertify, pass the current CWSP or CWDP or CWAP exam. All CWNEs as of October 1, 2010 must recertify before 12/31/2013.

CWNT

The CWNT certification is an instructor certification, and must be maintained more rigorously and more often than other certifications.  If you are a CWNT, you must recertify at each level you teach each time that exam is updated.  For example, when PW0-100 was upgraded to PW0-104, each CWNT had 90 days to recertify at the instructor level (80%) for exam PW0-104 in order to be qualified and authorized to teach the CWNA training class.
