Will you, or someone you know, be the next NPA-AFP’s “Best Networking Professional"? Here’s an opportunity for WLAN professionals to gain recognition among the broader family of IT professionals.

Every year, since 2002, the Network Professional Association (NPA) has sifted through the achievements of a small group of candidates and selected those who best represent IT professionalism. This is done as part of the annual Awards for Professionalism (www.awardsforprofessionalism.org ) campaign. To be considered for “The Awards”, network computing professionals from any market segment can be nominated by their peers (or even by themselves) by submitting an application form found on the AFP homepage. Nominations are free, open to anyone in the IT industry, and membership in the NPA is not a requirement. However, the deadline for nominations is March 27. The AFP homepage also contains a full description of the award categories and details on the announcement and presentation ceremony which is to be held at Interop - Las Vegas on April 28, 2010. Recipients are invited, but not required, to attend.

The awards themselves consist of prizes donated by sponsors, honors within the community, and trophies that would grace any office. But, the real prize is the knowledge that hard work, over-achievement, and high principles are still admired, desired, and rewarded.
Will you, or someone you know, be the next NPA-AFP’s, “Best Networking Professional, Outstanding Mentor, Top of the Mark – Volunteer, or Professional Excellence and Innovation” award winner? If you know someone who deserves this type of recognition, you are encouraged to get your nomination ballot submitted soon.

With so many richly deserving individuals in the WLAN community, it seems as if it’s time for some of them to be recognized as IT leaders as well.

I want to commend you and all at CWNP for having a great organization. You really 'raise the bar' on knowing Wi-Fi well. I have learned a ton of information that is helping my job experience and personal career goals, because of my CWAP/CWDP/CWSP studies. Kudos to all at CWNP.
