The CWNP certification program tests vendor-neutral wireless LAN 802.11 technology, rather than specific functions of vendor products. Passing the CWNP exams enables you to learn and understand any vendor's product line.

What does CWNP Stand For:
The acronym "CWNP" was adopted to represent a family of professional certifications and associated curriculum, and stands for Certified Wireless Network Professional.

What if I have specific questions about practice test, or material in a study guide:
Please post your questions to the appropriate forum. This will allow the greatest exposure to the questions for all to see and will give you the best answers to your questions. The practice test, exam authors, and study guide authors routinely participate in these forums and offer feedback.

Details about specific exams are available on each Certification page. These pages offer information about each exam such as number of questions, time allotted, scoring percentages, skills measured, preparation tools and resources.

How do I know whether my training provider is Authorized CWNP Learning Center:

When you attend training you will receive with the Official  coursewaretudy guide CWNP practice test license and VUE exam voucher. Second, ask your instructor to verify his or her CWNT credentials. CWNT's must attend an official training class and pass the associated exam with at least 80% before applying to become a CWNT.

Ask your instructor to verify his or her CWNT credentials by going to the CWNP Verify a CWNP web page and entering his or her CWNP ID and email address. Doing so will enable you to see his or her CWNP certifications and expiration dates, and, more importantly, whether or not your instructor is CWNT certified.

How much do CWNP Exams Cost:
The price of each exam varies and is available in the preparation guides for each of the exams. Pricing is based in USD. Exam vouchers for each exam may be purchased from the CWNP Store.

Do I have to take the exams in any order:

Exams are available at all Pearson VUE testing centers worldwide or hosted on our own testing platform (lms.cwnp.com).Please visit VUE.com.

Do I have to take the Class:
Classes are highly recommended for hands-on experience, but you are not required to attend a class. Many people choose to self study for CWNP exams. Reading the Official CWNP Study Guides and taking the CWNP Practice Tests, available in the Online Store, will help prepare you for the exams. We also highly recommend getting hands on experience and studying the many white papers available through the Free Resources page.

How do I register for an exam and find testing centers in my area:

If you have passed an exam, you cannot take it again unless you are trying to become a CWNT and have received prior written permission from the CWNP Program.

You may retake the CWS or CWT exam after 24 hours by purchasing an exam voucher and retaking the online exam.

What does "CWNE" mean:

How do I earn the CWNE Certification:
To earn your CWNE, you must first pass 4 exams: CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, and CWAP. Each exam must be valid at the time you submit your application. Then you must meet the professional requirements, and then complete the CWNE Application. Once your CWNE application is complete, you can email it to us at CWNE@cwnp.com.

What is the recertification policy for CWNE:
When you've earned your CWNE certification, it is valid for 3 years. During the three-year cycle, the CWNE professional must report a minimum of 60 CE hours. Please see the CWNE CE document for more details.
