A look at why CWNP is hosting the 15 Years of Wireless conference, a brief look at what's going to be covered, and an overview of relevant information.

We want to take a look back.

It's been 15 years since CWNP's inception, and we believe it's just as important to learn from the past as it is to innovate for the future. We have connected and brought on speakers that will aid us in this objective. So we've brought together top experts from across the wireless spectrum.

This event will be held September 22-24 in the beautiful Raleigh - Durham area of North Carolina in the US. Those participating will be from all walks of life, and all functions of Wireless. You'll have the analysis experts beside the administrator newbies - and so on. We think your title doesn't necessarily represent what you know, and your vendor is not nearly as important as your knowledge.

Dress for this conference is business casual, and there will be no vendor-on-vendor violence tolerated. (Though it would make for a great story)

Some of the topics covered will be:

- Education Deployments

- Voice over Wifi Technology

- Troubleshooting Range

- The next 5 years of wireless

And more! (Full list of topics and speakers here)

We have also set up a forum for all questions that you might have before, and the questions that you would like to see answered during. (Click here to access the forum)

Vendors have reached out to help support us in our mission of promoting wireless knowledge, but this will not be a vendor-led event. Those experts in attendance who come from a vendor organization, and even those speaking are speaking from their expertise.

CWNP takes vendor-neutrality very seriously. We offer equal opportunities to all businesses, professionals, and equipment providers.

Next week we'll be starting a Guest Blog series featuring one of the conference speakers every week! So be sure to check in next week to get a sneak peek on Jussi's topic of changing deployments.

And don't forget to register for his webinar with Amanda Bjӧrnberg on "WiFi Planning: The 7 Secrets" hosted on June 12th. [Register Here]

I want to commend you and all at CWNP for having a great organization. You really 'raise the bar' on knowing Wi-Fi well. I have learned a ton of information that is helping my job experience and personal career goals, because of my CWAP/CWDP/CWSP studies. Kudos to all at CWNP.
