Social Media in Wireless

This blog post is looking at the pros and cons of social media within the wireless business world.

What does social media look like in the wireless industry?

A collaboration by: Julia Baldini (CWNP Marketing), Evan Broscious(Former CWNP Intern), and Kevin Bathrik (Former CWNP Intern)

Social media is huge. I think we can all agree with that. There are positions within major (and minor) wireless companies that are headed by experts and devoted solely to the social sphere.

But there are two sides to every coin. Within the BYOD of today's working environment businesses must weigh the implications of having social media within their company, and used to communicate outside their company. Remembering to include the circumstances that are unique to a highly technical field.

To help picture our observations we had last summer's interns put together an infographic to help illustrate the pros and cons of the social utilization throughout a company.

This infographic was put together by Kevin Bathrik and Evan Broscious. Both Kevin and Evan are students at NC State and UNC. You can contact them using, ksbathri@ncsu.edu, and, evanbroscious@gmail.com, respectively.

I want to commend you and all at CWNP for having a great organization. You really 'raise the bar' on knowing Wi-Fi well. I have learned a ton of information that is helping my job experience and personal career goals, because of my CWAP/CWDP/CWSP studies. Kudos to all at CWNP.
