    Here is a link to SANS that may help in validating some of your policy: and how they talk about policies, standards and guidelines:

    Policies are to the point and not cumbersome. I had to learn the hard way. Less is sometimes more. Some say write a sermonette not a sermon and avoid preaching to the choir. :)
