That was my main motivation for taking CWAP prior to the CWDP and in such rapid succession.  I had already gotten the 402 materials and didn't want to go back to my employer to have them pay for new materials for the same test.

I certainly agree, were it not for my employer covering the materials for me, it would have been an endeavor well over $1,000 out of pocket all-in the way I went about it.  Truth be told, given my current situation and not using this necessarily as a means to advance my career in the traditional sense, I don't know that I'd have done it out of my own pocket.
