Capability validation in 802.11g

    Hi Criss,
    We have Netgear and D-Link b/g station cards which are configurable to long only preamble.In such a case it woud not be rare to see long only preamble.

    In such a case, according to our implementation, a single station with long only can bring down the performance of network....Right

    Now if we configure it to long only, it will send Clause 15, 18 and 19 rates but says it will not support short preamble. This is against standard since every ERP station should support short preamble.

    What is your opinion on this issue?
