Yeah, I would agree with you on the answer being the Physical Layer. Think about the OSI model, and the protocols and devices at each layer. You now about protocols being use for encryption, but when I think about the Physical layer, I don?¡é?€??t remember reading about encryption protocols being used at the Physical layer. I do remember devices, and what used for electrical physical aspects for transferring data across certain mediums (wired side), but I still think that the data in the wireless medium is encrypted, not the (Physical) wireless medium. For example, you cannot encrypt a T1 or ISDN Line. OK, I am getting confuse now.
