  • I have performed a site survey and installation for outside wireless coverage. There was not apparent ground available, so I put the lightning arrestor onto the AP and ran the ground off of that and then ran the ground into the building ground via a clamp on plug with only the ground attached.

    Is there a problem in the way I did this or is this in line with what is commonly done in the field? The lightning arrestor documentation indicated that the arrestor be outside the building, which I would prefer to do, but then I don't have a ground available.

    Has anyone else run into this? What are some other ways to approach this issue.
