Does anyone have any definitive information on the 802.11 elements that cause the Centrino drivers to blue screen in very rare circumstances?

I have seen this issue, but the scenario may not fit your environment exactly.

Intel PRO wireless 2200 BG chipsets have the same problem. Bug was traced to driver versions 8.0.12.20000 (3/8/2004) or 8.0.12.90000 (1/2/2004).

Specifically, in a Cisco WLAN environment operating Cisco VoIP end-points with their 802.11 QoS enabled for the voice traffic (i.e. "dot11 phone" command is in-use), the BSOD can be triggered immediately when you activate the wireless card.


Fix - install Intel driver 9.0.3.9.
