  • I was asked to help conduct a predictive site survey because the tool that a customer was using could not handle a drawing of this large a scale. I imported the drawing into Architech which did work with the very large drawing. Upon begining the formatting of the document I saw that it was a CAD drawing of a Pig Farm in Germany. I do not know what the intended use of the wireless network is, VoIP, Inventory, Medical, but I would have thought that I would never have done a predictive survey of a Pig Farm in Germany. The drawing was complete with barn and tractor.

    With a DIFS DIFS here and a DIFS DIFS there, old McAdolf had a WLAN.....

    I guess WiFI is truly going to be everywhere.

    Yes, Wireless is truly everywhere. Apple just released news of their new Wireless phone and it is sure to make some heads spin. You've got to love this profession and eveyday thank the visionaries at Planet3 for helping us promote the technologies.

    BTW , I used to work on the pig farms in North Carolina growing up and I wish they had wireless "slop" back then. :)
