Always looking out for the CWNP community in my spare time and owe a lot to this forum and the staff at CWNP for their vision. I like many others am in a transition period in these hard economic times but I am optimistic things will work out.

Here is a link to a tool that you might find handy in your wireless kit bag. They are free : Netsurveyor and Netstress. At the bottom of the main page.

Nuts About Nets sponsors new web site dedicated to distributing free Wi-Fi tools and providing practical advice for troubleshooting wireless networks: www.PerformanceWifi.net. We've introduced two new tools: NetSurveyor -- an 802.11 (WiFi) network discovery / scanner tool, and NetStress -- a benchmarking tool (for both wired and wireless networks).

  • Thanks for the link. I'll check them out.

  • Wow...

Net Surveyor is extremely nice, I love the spectrogram.

Try rotating it, it's very visual and very useful.

There is also a fully functional pdf reporting feature.

    Great find !

No problem, thought you would like it.

I also go here periodically to understand some of the other alternatives to Windows XP and Vista:
