I cannot speak to why you might be having a problem with one model over another, however, I work with Polycom/SpectraLInk and I can mention three scenarios that will screw up Push-to-talk(PTT). Spectralink PTT uses multicating and the VoIP packets are propagated through network using IP address 224.0.1.116

    1) Many WLAN vendors have a proprietary setting on their controller that prevents peer-to-peer connectivity between clients. Trust me... this will hose up PTT. :-//

    2) On a large scale environment, if an infrastucture device such as a router has multicasting disabled.... guess what.... no PTT :(

    3) Very common mistake.... misconfigured DTIM interval on the APs and/or controllers. 8-O

I have also seen misconfigued Beacon intervals screw up PTT.

    Good luck!
