  • I have some trouble setting up an AP1200 myself, maybe you can help?

    - The wireless clients occupy addresses 172.16.0.0/255.255.0.0
    - The AP is connected to our internal Ethernet, which uses 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0, hence I assigned it 192.168.1.230/255.255.255.0

I'd like to connect from ethernet to the wireless clients (since they run some service I'd like to access). Is this actually possible with this AP?

Of course I set up my local routing table to direct the traffic to the AP.

Problem is, the AP only accepts connections from clients (both wireless and ethernet) which are in the same subnet. Seems a bit odd to me.

But even though I changed the address of the wirless clients to something in the 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 range (i.e. conform to the ethernet addressing scheme) I'm still unable to make a TCP connection from an ethernet station to any wireless client.

Again, am I missing something here? Does the AP only work in NAT mode and doesn't route any connection attempts?

    Your help is very appreciated.
