Believe it or not, I keep copies of the various IEEE 802.11 specs with me. Besides the fact that they come and go on the oficial IEEE site, I need to refer to them at least twice a month.
Sometimes it is very handy to have the individual specs available, even after they have been rolled into the latest standard.
I work for a manufacturing firm that embeds radio modules in our products. We are always looking at new radios, and it helps to have the specs. handy.
I also keep Several Cisco docs available for reference.
