2.4 GHz interference problem in marine environment

Wow. I feel for you I really do. Trying to nail down possible spurrious emminations in a marine area is going to test your patience for sure. If you find nothing conclusive from using George's suggestion of a spectrum analyzer, I suggest looking at the following. Done a few shipping ports/marine implementations. Thay are a btch.

1. Coast Guard or Military base in close vacinity? They use nasty undocumentated RF jamming/communication and monitoring techs from time to time.

2. Sanitary Trash Compactors. Used to dispose of biohazard materials. They use really powerful microwave ovens to sanitize trash. Big problems for hospitals who use wifi a lot of times.

3. Ship to Ship communications. Ships still use high power 2.4ghz transmitters to communicate.

4. Get rid of the water. Large bodies of water are the worst for multipath :)
