  • I looked over the Xirrus 802.11n poster again.

    I think it's ok, but the original Airmagnet chart is more of what I need. For example, it lists the first 32 MCS index and coding schemes by number along with their parameters.

    The Xirrus chart shows a Standardization Timeline, but this was written in 2006, and I'm not sure how faithful it is in retrospect. This chart was drawn up much earlier than the Airmagnet one.

    Going back to my first post of this thread, it does have an algorithm for computing the new data rates based upon the new base rates of 6.5, 13,19.5, 26, 39, 58.5 and 65 Mbps for OFDM.

    So Stackman,

    if you really want to memorize it all, I think you now come up with a memory aid for all of it.
    Personally, I think I'll skip that for now.
