  • You should always have a proper survey carried out, 9% and 13% signal is meaninggess. You need to knwo about the client radios and design around that. I have had many discussions where people read the Cisco documentation and say I placed an access point at "x" feet and its not working, Usually due to a honking great wall but there is also reflection, refarction etc etc. You need to know what the environment is and what your RF is doing. Hire someone reputable to conduct a survey for you.

    You also need to be careful cranking the power up as you want to make sure you dont exceed the allowed limits for your regulatory domain or develope hidden node or other issues.
