I am quite new in wireless security topic. Now I am educating in this topic. I have some confusion about ICV calculation for WEP process. I know it use CRC32 to calculate but I want to know if it include MAC frame header in calculation mechanism.

My friend told me that there are methods to change MAC header and inject to AP in order to generate new IV packets. I think that if it included MAC header in ICV calculation mechanism, those methods should not work.
