Just wonder are there any thin AP on the current market?
Having a project that consist of around 300 AP. We are sourcing any brand of the AP that act like thin AP which the configuration are done by a centrel server.
Thanks for input
For thin AP solutions, I'd recommend Airespace.
Note to the "oldtimers" on this forum:
It's a pretty strange feeling saying the above, especially since we (Cisco) competed against all of the companies that were doing WLAN switches for so long. It's a new day though.
AH HAH Airespace, Cisco acquired, Aironet retired?
I was just promoting that 4000 series switch the other day. The FIPS 140-2 version of it that is. Good busines fit for the federal government, as well as the BlueSocket Gateway (FIPS 140-2). Another great aquisition for Cisco might I add.
When will Cisco change the name (Airespace) to protect the innocent?
Most likely, both products will remain for the time being although I'm sure you'll see some integration between the two. Beyond that, there's not much more I can say until the acquisition is complete and public announcements are made.
Besides, any one know a brand called "Alluba"? (I dun know the exact spelling, but sounds like Aluba) :)
ARUBA , a place I would love to visit.
