  • I have a 2.4GHz Wireless phone in my house and I would also like to have a 802.11g wireless router installed at home. Can they coexist and work well? Any input is welcomed.

  • yes and no... you may have some issues on throughput(similar to those seen when a poorly made microwave is found) but it may or may not be noticeable depending on what you are doing. If you're just surfing the net, then even if you get 5 Mpbs (20% of expected speed) then you won't even notice it. if you're doing LAN party type stuff where speed is essential, then try turning on rts/cts (if you're router supports it) or moving the phone reciever a good distance away from where you are working. if nothing else, its not like your network is going to die when you plug the phone in, its just going to have to share the medium a little more

  • Thank you so much, Androsix. Your input is really helpful.
