My company is also seriously considering removing ThinkVantage enterprise-wide and going with the Intel PROSet client. All our pilots using Intel PROSet have been very good. However, yes, uninstalling ThinkVantage is a real pain. I'm really not sure how to do it, other than our packaging team has scripted an uninstall and then install of Intel PROSet. Our entire mobile fleet uses Intel PROSet and have not seen any issues. Our issues with ThinkVantage are varied from yours. However, I think you will have a better experience with Intel PROSet. We use a mixture of 4965, 5100 and 5300 Intel client cards. BTW, we are all Windows XP SP3.
