I'm going to throw in a couple of related questions on this hot topic.

What is the case if 40 MHz channels are used. Will they also transmit some frames detectable by legacy abg WIDS sensors.

I've heard from one WIDS vendor that currently there are no implementations of greenfield 802.11n in the market. Any comment on that? And will it just be a matter of time.

I'm seeing different messages on the greenfield mode and WIDS detection

Joshua Wright (Aruba) claims that greenfield mode rogues cannot be detected in his RSA2008 - 802.11n Risks Presentation

"Greenfield rogue devices can be used to evade
existing WIDS analysis systems. Cannot be detected by WIDS without 802.11n card"
