  • 1 ap = 1 broadcast domain just like a subnet. 3 AP's = 3 broadcast domains = 3X number of max conncurrent connections per AP. So you have one large subnet say a /16 instead of a bunch of smaller ones like say /24's. I think this can be done but the trade off is 0s roam time in exchange reduced capacity. I think this can be done, in fact this is sort of the same thing Meru does except your using physical antennas instead of software. There are obvious scalability issues with this and antenna diversity is pretty much out the door. If I had a 20,000 sq. ft house this might be a good option.
